SPM regard both Quality and Health and Safety as vital to the business.
To reflect this SPM Dukinfield and Aberdeen (approved 2008) are both ISO9001; 2008 approved with our Singapore and Australia offices working to the same procedures as our approved offices. Our commitment to Quality and H&S is reinforced by the fact that their importance is emphasised to new members of staff during induction.
Staff are encouraged to bring to the attention of management any concerns/suggestions they have to improve both areas.
Management hold regular review meetings in which both Quality and H&S are discussed with actions determined as and when required. These include reviews of internal audits, corrective actions, supplier performance etc etc, as well as any health and safety matters.
Regular staff meetings are also held during which both subjects are discussed and actions taken as required.
We operate within International Health & Safety guidelines. As with quality Management commitment to Health and Safety is shown by our H&S policy statement and that all staff are encouraged to bring to managements attention any concerns. Staff go through regular H&S Updates, to ensure they are fully conversant with our policy and procedures, know what to do in the event of an accident or evacuation, who are trained in first aid et etc.
As stated earlier regular management and staff meetings are held during which health and safety is discussed.
